I'm currently sitting in a Pret A Manger (cafe) waiting for the bus to Luton Airport where I depart for Iceland later this afternoon.

I have just spent the 4 days in London, based in Waterloo.

I'm surprised how similar London is to Melbourne. The only significant difference is that London is so much larger.

Public transport is fantastic here. You only have to wait 5 minutes for the next bus to arrive and the tube can take you anywhere within 20 minutes.

It has been amazing to see all the tourist attractions including Big Ben, The London Eye, Changing of the Gaurds, Kensington Park, Harrods, Somerset Home, Oxford Street Shopping, Borough Markets, Tate Modern, London Bridge and all of the beautiful parks throughout the city.

On our first day we went exploring with my brother Aaron. I do not reccomend walking over 10kms on your first day - My feet still haven't recovered. That day we stopped by the lake at Hyde Park for burgers then continued on to Kensington Palace via Harrods. For dinner we met with friends in Soho and had japanese.

The next day we headed to Old Street for brunch at Ozone - If you ever want great coffee and a Melbourne style breakie I highly recommend the trip here! That afternoon we headed to Camden markets followed by dinner at a fantastic mexican restaurant called Mahaca, which overlooks the river in Southbank.

On day 3 we headed to Somerset Home and then went to Borough Market. The food here is amazing! I had a mixed plate of lebanese food and shared a roast duck roll. After lunch we walked to the Tate Modern art gallery where we saw paintings by Picasso and many more artists. That night we headed to our friend Tim's house in Clapham and went around the corner for some fresh Thai food.

Now we are off to Iceland for 4 nights staying at Reykjavik Bus Hostel :)
